There are some movies released in recent years but i believe they didnt get the recognition they should be getting. So, if you are someone who are looking for watching some underrated Telugu movies released after 2020 and which i like .

2020 – Middle Class Melodies – If you are looking for a cool refreshing movie with an underlying love story, this is it . It has the younger Devarakonda brother and he is probably most suited for the role . Songs and music are a breeze . If you are up -to-date with memes, you will also know the backstory of some of the most well known memes 🙂

2021- Adbhutam – Adbhutam is a scifi romance movie and it has two underrated actors of Telugu cinema as of now (Teja Sajja and Shivani Rajasekhar) . It is not a over the top scifi concept but ensures that scifi elements are intact along with a love story .

Senapathi – Naresh Agastya is probably another underrated actor and is teamed up with Rajendra Prasad in this thriller. Though its a remake, it is great to see a very good thriller made up without unnecessary story deviations.

2022- Mishan Impossible – This stars three kids who embark on an interesting target and gets into a dark world , but ends up with doing a great work. The kids have done great performance and one of them is the hero of the recent “Court” movie. The thrill and comedy elements are taken care in good amount.

2023- Spy – Probably the most underrated of this list and also probably should have taken more care in promotion and all to make it wider. Nikhil did a fantastic job in selecting this action story . May be if only any other action hero like Adivi Sesh would have made it top tier movie. Production values could be a letdown but overall the story is very interesting and it links to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

2024- Devil – Kalyan Ram usually has great storylines but falters somewhere with other technical aspects of the film. This is probably the best of that lot and is a decent detective thriller set in pre-independence era and links to Netaji Subhas Chandra bose.

2025- Kanyakumari – This is my movie of the year 2025 (other than OG) . Most refreshing love comical drama which doesnt go too poetic and great performances by lead cast Geet Saini and Sreecharan . Music is a breeze and is perfect for this movie.
